Been looking for some earbuds that I can walk in, as the ones like first gen AirPods barely cling to the exterior of my ear canal. So the design of AirPods Pro is desired, as it offers different size tips to fit different size ear canals. But given today's uncertainty, cost is a big consideration in this purchase, therefore an alternative to AirPods Pro was sought.And here we are. TaoTronics SoundLiberty. Pretty much a black AirPods Pro, minus the noise cancelling feature.Right off the bat, seems like most of these earbuds require no brain to pair. As soon as I open the Bluetooth in settings, it finds it easily, and pairs without a cinch. And once it's paired, whenever they're taken out of the charging case, they will automatically turn on and pairs to your device. When compare to the AirPods, these fit my ears much better, more snug and secure.On my walk today, it was surprisingly secure. Only towards the end of my two-hour walk, it got a little loose. I had to use some water to clean the tip and re-insert the earbuds. So quick tip to users - clean your ear canals with damp q-tip, or tissue, before using. They will provide better adhesion for the earbuds to grab onto.Sound-wise, they're very decent for the price. Great for podcasts, but not music with low lows. You're not going to get too much bass out of these. I'm guessing that's the one thing you have to give up when you go with these earbuds.Battery life seem to be plenty long for any job that's 3-4 hours, but would have to test to believe if it would last 10+ hours.One gripe I do have is multi-function control for play/pause/skip. Both earbuds has one touch-button for play/pause/skip and volume control. While that is great, but the touch control is quite touchy-feely. You will need to get used to it to be able control on demand. I suggest grabbing the stick portion of the earbud with your thumb and middle-finger, and click-touch the control with your index finger. Sooner you get used to doing that, sooner your headache goes away.The charging case is a large jellybean shaped plastic case. The earbuds fits snugly in the case and charges quickly, should you manage to run it out of juice. I've done two-hour walks, and so far, it's still going... still going... going...All in all, a great budget wireless earbud for busybodies on the go. Instead of spending $250+ for AirPods Pro, these are the smart alternative, for less than 1/4 of the price.
